He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Chinery and Gloria Chinery. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Chinery; his son Scott Chinery; his siblings, Jacqui Charvet and Carolann Nielsen; and his stepmother Karlie Chinery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Habitat for Humanity.
