He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver Randall Butler II and Estelle Marie O'Donnell. He is survived by: his wife Deborah; his children, Stefanie Perez and Nicholas "Nick" Butler; his son-in-law Alvaro Perez; his grandchildren, Avalyn and Jaxon; his sister Ruth Beatty; and his siblings-in-law, Diana Spano and Frank Spano. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Oliver's name to Huntington's Disease Society of America.
