He was predeceased by: his wife Adeline; and his daughter Sandra Streeter. He is survived by: his children, Thomas Lavery (Carol), Suzanne Corvelli (Joseph) and Steven Lavery (Joan); and his sisters, Eleanor Wacha (Fred) and Josephine Sapanara. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren.
