Basia Kurkowski Obituary
Bridgewater- Basia Kurkowski, 56, died on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital. Born in New Brunswick, she was a lifelong resident of Bridgewater and was a graduate of Immaculata High School. She worked at the Plaza Deli in Hillsborough for many years and spent a lot of time helping at the family business, Stan's Chitchs Pizzeria.
Basia lived every day to the fullest. She was a loving, kindhearted person who built friendships wherever she went. In her spare time, she enjoyed taking cruises, relaxing at the Jersey shore, cooking for her nephews, spoiling her pups, and watching her favorite sports teams, The NJ Devils & The Washington Redskins.
Basia is predeceased by her father, Stanley in 2015, her grandparents, Wladyslaw & Jadwiga Kurkowski, Edmund & Jadwiga Brzuskiewicz. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her mother Myra Kurkowski of Whitehouse Station, her sister Renee Cote & husband Jon of Readington, her nephews whom she adored more than anything, Dylan, Tyler & JJ Cote, many loving family members, and her puppies, Madison, Molly & Max.
Basia has left an imprint forever in our hearts and will be sadly missed by her family and countless friends.
MASKS WILL BE REQUIRED DURING THE VISITATION, THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION** Visiting hours will be held from 4-8PM on Monday, January 3, 2022 at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 East Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807. Prayers will be said 9AM on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at the funeral home followed by a 10 AM mass at St. Mary of Czestochowa Church in Bound Brook. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough.
