He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Alan Johnson and Diane Tomeo Johnson; his daughters, Tracy Love Johnson-Krall and Shannon Jones; and his brothers, Robert "Bobby" Johnson and Larry "Jake" Gentile.

He is survived by: his wife Ann Johnson of Bridgeton; his daughter April Dawn Jones of Millville; his siblings, Gary Johnson, Alan Johnson and Linda Johnson Criswell; his grandchildren, Justin, Jimi, Shannon and Ambrosia; and his great grandchildren, Jadin, Jimi, Cassiel, Zelda and Harper. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
