He is survived by: his wife Patricia Scarcellie (Hand); his children, John Smith (Elizabeth), Debra Smith-Vasfailo (Joseph) and Diane Smith-Bernardo (Rui); and his grandchildren, Olivia, Skye, Taylor, Cameron, Isabella and Angelique.
