He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Conroy and Helen Conroy; his wife Dawn Conroy; his daughter Jessica Conroy; and his sisters, Bernadette Walsh and Kathleen Conroy.
He is survived by: his granddaughter Lulu; his children, Shel Silverstein, Winnie and Owen Conroy; his daughter-in-law May Chiang; his granddaughter Lucy Chiang-Conroy; his significant other Flo Melo; and his cousins, Peggy Betz-Cadigan, Jack Betz and Joseph Conroy.
He tirelessly dedicated countless hours responding to help others in need, including at great personal risk during the height of the Covid pandemic.
