We are sad to announce that on September 30, 2020 we had to say goodbye to Margaret Merritt of Brick, New Jersey, born in Elizabeth, New Jersey. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband John J. Merritt; and her daughters, Marie Priola and Karen Richard. She is survived by: her children, John Merritt, Jr. (Maureen) of Basking Ridge, NJ, Robert Merritt (Debra) of Colonia, Richard Merritt (Cathleen) of Cranford, NJ, Michael Merritt (Kathryn), Donald Merritt (Sharon) of Brick, NJ, Roseann LaForte of Edison, NJ and Janice Telerico (Michael) of Brick; and her sister Mary Butter of Elizabeth, NJ. She is also survived by her 24 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Viewing will be held on Monday, October 5, 2020 from 8:30-9:30 a. m. at O'Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Rd. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 a. m. at Epiphany RC Church, Brick followed by the interment at St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. **Due to Covid 19 restrictions, face masks and social distancing are required and there are capacity limitations.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Holy Redeemer Health System, Holy Redeemer Development Office , 521 Moredon Road , Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006 in memory of Margaret Merritt.
