It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Katherine Brown of Brick, New Jersey, who passed away on March 18, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Key and Elizabeth Thomas; her husband William H. Brown III; her children, Gary L. Richards and Charlene Jennings; and her siblings, Raymond Robinson, Fred Key, Herbert Key, Katie Johnson, Mary Tolbert and Hattie Mae Johnson.
She is survived by: her sister Ethel Simmons; her children, Gail V. Kelsey (Herbert), Kathy D. Henriques (Michael), Sharon D. Richards and Walter A. Richards (Alizia); her stepdaughters, Cheryl Coleman and Janine Sweatt; her grandchildren, Renee, Michael, Siani, Milan, Arienne, Seth, Nicole (Meghan), Chantal (Joe), Donte, Sera, Shannon, Dina, Aalyah, Sasha, Na'Asia and Mariah; her great grandchildren, Melanie, Noah, Remy, Arlo, Koa and Saviere; and her close friends, Daisy Wilson, Barbara Putney and Emily Boone. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Belmar Presbyterian Church (600 9th Ave, Belmar, NJ 07719). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Monmouth Memorial Park (4201 NJ-33, Tinton Falls, NJ 07753).
