It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Berry Jr. of Brick, New Jersey, who passed away on September 18, 2021, at the age of 44, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his wife Christine Dewolf Berry; his parents, Joseph L. Berry, Sr. and Loretta Gratkowski Berry; his sister Katherine; his brother-in-law Matthew Miller; his nephews, Alexander and Sawyer Miller; his stepsons, Zackery Yunckes and Jayson Yunckes (Heather); and his stepgrandchild Zathan Welf Yunckes.

“I met Joe when we hired together as Engineers at NJTransit in December of 1998. We became friends and over the years I enjoyed trips mountain bike riding with him on the trails at Allaire State Park, attended numerous rock concerts and playing pool & video games at his home. He was truly a great friend who will be sorely missed. We last spoke on Aug 31st telling me about his marriage. I was informed of the sad news by a mutual friend at work in NY after the services which I missed, I’m sorry. My condolences to his family whom I never got to meet. Sincerely, Fred Mayer”
