It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Rea of Brick, New Jersey, who passed away on February 22, 2024, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Eleanor. He is survived by: his children, Lina Rea Aloi of Lakewood, NJ, Madeline Cocuzza (Bruce) of Flanders, NJ and John Rea Jr. (Kerry) of Manasquan, NJ; his grandchildren, Sandra, Nicole, Lynore, Adam, Emily Milan and Jace; and his great grandchildren, Bane, Madix, Ella, Cooper and Cody.

In 2016, he was inducted into the Coney Island Hall of Fame as one of the "Wizards of West 8th Street" for his dedicated service as an expert craftsman, his expertise in machinery, his creativity in metalwork, and his contributions to the amusement park community.
