He was predeceased by: his parents, Patrick Dowd and Catherine Dowd. He is survived by: his siblings, Jeremiah "Sonny" O'Dowd, Margaret O'Donnell (late Michael O'Donnell) and Eileen Brady (late Hubie Brady); his brother-in-law Joe McNamara; his mother-in-law Ellen Farrell; his niece Martina O'Dowd; his wife Anne Angela O'Dowd (Farrell); his children, Shaun O'Dowd of Brick, David O'Dowd of Brick and Elaine Lichtner (John) of Southampton, PA; his siblings, Patrick O'Dowd (Kitty) of Grange and Mary McNamara of Birmingham, England; his sister-in-law Therese O'Dowd; and his grandchildren, Kristen, Kayla and Patrick.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the O'Brien Funeral Home - Brick (505 Burnt Tavern Rd, Brick Township, NJ 08724). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Church of St. Martha (3600 Herbertsville Rd, Point Pleasant, NJ 08742).
