With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Morton (Brick, New Jersey), born in Neptune, New Jersey, who passed away on September 10, 2021 at the age of 66. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Morton and Margaret Morton. He is survived by: his wife Denise Makara Morton; his sister Joan Cordes (Blane) of Belmar; his niece Courtney Liska (Michael) of Westfield; his great-nephew Jack; his great-niece Maggie; his nephew Blane Cordes, Jr. (Gabi) of Astoria; and his brother-in-law Alan Makara of Brick.

Donations may be made in his name to Jersey Shore Animal Center or American Cancer Society.

“It is with deep sympathy and prayers for Jimmy, Jimmy's family and friends, that I post this remembrance of my old friend. We knew each other for over (50) years. We shared an apartment for a few years. We were schoolmates, teammates and good friends. We lost contact after many years, but, the memories I have of our years together are forever. He was as loyal a friend as you could have. Sadly, he has departed. Please keep Jimmy, his wife, his sister Joanie and her family in your prayers. Amen.”
