He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. James Sr. and Muriel Lyerly; and his sister Anne Langford. He is survived by: his wife Jean; his stepchildren, Beth and David; his son-in-law Phillip; his grandchildren, Peter, Stephanie, Ryan and Gianna; and his pet Cooper.
