He is survived by: his wife Alice Ploransky; and his children, Joseph Ploransky (Karen), George J. Ploransky, III of Lakeville, PA, Theresa M. Lowden (William) of Virginia, Mary Ellen MacQuaide of Brick and Patricia Rodenberg. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Donations may be made in his memory to the St. Jude's Children Research Foundation.
