He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Edson and Kum Hi "Ruth" Edson; and his brother Clinton. He is survived by: his wife Janice Geiges-Edson; his children, Matthew Edson (Jenna), Kimberly Edson (Marlton) and Amy Brundage (Matthew); and his sister Ethel Edson (Wrightstown).
