He was predeceased by: his wife Eileen; and his daughter Janice Colfer. He is survived by: his daughters, Eileen VanDzura and Colleen Palermo; his son-in-law Lloyd Colfer; and his brother Joseph Smith. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
