He was predeceased by: his parent Vincent Butera; and his sister Jacqueline Deiulio. He is survived by: his parent Florentine Butera; his wife Gayle; his children, Dean Butera (Hilary) of Lawrenceville and Mary Ellen "Mel" Daniels (Tony) of Branchville; his grandchildren, Kyle, Sam Butera, Meredith and Lenna Daniels; and his brother Richard Butera of Sparta.
