He was predeceased by: his parents, James Carter and Joan Carter; and his brother Jeffrey Carter. He is survived by: his wife Debbie; his children, John H. Carter II and Kristen Carter (Shane Hine); his siblings, James, Joel Carter and Jocelyn (Anthony Senatore); his mother-in-law Dolores Peragino; his sister Lisa; and his brother-in-law Michael Wolanski. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
