She was predeceased by: her parents, John Demianycz and Martha Demianycz (Marycz); and her brothers, Michael, Stefan, Petro and Szymon.
She is survived by: her husband Stefan Hyra; her son Steven (Marianne); her grandchildren, Andrea and Stephen; her son Mark (Wendy); her granddaughter Olivia; and her sisters, Anna Wroblewska and Maria Karlyk. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and godchildren.
