He was predeceased by: his parents, Lorraine Wabuda and Joseph Wabuda; and his brother Todd Wabuda. He is survived by: his wife Ann; and his children, Chris, Jessie and Kelly. He is also survived by his family, friends.

He made significant contributions to various causes, including funding scholarships for college students, supporting VARCA, an organization dedicated to helping individuals with Down syndrome, and providing countless meals to the homeless.

“Ann and family: Lenore and I are saddened by Gary’s death. He was a great cousin and even though there was an 8 year difference in age, we got to know each other pretty well around their farm which was next to our family's farm. Gary’s grandmother was sister to my grandmother. Gary’s mom. Lorraine, was my mother’s sister. So the family ties ran deep. We send our love, but cannot make the services due to family commitment—our eight grade grandson’s graduation party. Allen and Lenore Kosowsky”
