He was predeceased by: his father Stephen Damon. He is survived by: his wife Judi; his children, Jessica (Owen Kajiwara) of Hawaii, Zachary Vause of Oregon and Sumi; his sister Yvette Malama; his nieces and nephews, Bryan (Kaimi), Elyse (Felix Navarro), Reiko (Matt Nims) and Minoru (Yuko); his brothers, Peter and Paul Vause; his uncle George Yoshida of Hawaii; and his aunt Kay Guzman of California.
