He was predeceased by: his parents, Primitivo Amaya and Ana Amaya (Valbuena); and his brother Gerardo. He is survived by: his wife Ana; his children, Carolina and Fernando; his stepchildren, Letty and Sergio; his siblings, Gladys, Janeth, Cecilia, Rosalba, Jose, Yomar, Gustavo, Isabel, Ricardo, Sandra, Daniel and William; and his pets, Henny and Luna. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
