He was predeceased by: his wife Beryl; and his daughter Anne Kennedy McAllister. He is survived by: his daughter Laura Blake Peterson (Louis Kilgore); his granddaughters, Paige Kennedy Peterson, Elizabeth Anne McAllister and Jennifer Kennedy Ostroski (David Ostroski); his great grandchildren, Jack and Penny; his stepgrandchildren, Gregory Philip Kilgore (Michelle), Gretchen Lyn Kilgore, Megan Elizabeth Kilgore and Emily Catherine Yellen (Adam); and also, Evan, Abigail and Nora Lyn.
