With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dorothy Cynthia Bartlett (Bound Brook, New Jersey), born in Woodbury, New Jersey, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 15, 2024 at the age of 94. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Gillings and Dorothy Gillings; her husband Benjamin Bartlett; her daughter Barbara McCarthy Coans (McCarthy); her sister Betty Tallamy (Gillings); and her son-in-law Wayne Little.
She is survived by: her daughter Patricia Little (McCarthy) of Bound Brook; her son-in-law James Coans of Somerset, NJ; her grandchildren, Bonnie Rogers (Blake) of Winfield, WV and Jeff Little of Franklinville, NJ; her stepdaughter Catherine Barrett (John) of Okatie, SC; and her stepgrandchildren, Kaitlin Barrett of Okatie, SC, Courtenay Kelly (Austin) of California and Kyle Barrett (Lauren) of Madison, NJ. She is also survived by 1 great-great grandson; 3 nieces and 4 nephews; 13 great-nieces\nephews.
Viewing was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home (225 Mountain Ave, Bound Brook, NJ 08805). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 11:30 AM at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery (100 County Rd #514, Jersey City, NJ 07307).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dorothy Cynthia Bartlett's honor to the United Methodist Church in Bound Brook, the NJ State Button Society, or the Bridgewater Garden Club.
