With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Dr. Anthony Frisoli, a dedicated physician, esteemed colleague, loving father and cherished friend. Dr. Frisoli departed from this world on June 23, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, expertise, and profound contributions to the medical field. His absence is deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Born on March 28, 1954 in Bovino, Italy, Dr. Anthony Frisoli embarked on a remarkable journey that would shape the lives of countless individuals. From an early age, his insatiable curiosity and passion for helping others paved the way for a remarkable career in medicine. Dr. Frisoli founded Martinsville Family Practice in 1989, as a sole practitioner with one nurse, his late-wife Denise. Together and over the years, the Practice grew in size and shape, guided by the hand of Dr. Frisoli's commitment to humility, compassion, and vigorous work ethic, and became a pillar of the Somerset County community. With a gentle demeanor and a genuine concern for his patients' well-being, he provided the highest standard of care, earning the trust and gratitude of those under his wing and colleagues alike. Dr. Frisoli's commitment to his craft was evident in the countless lives he touched and the healing he brought to thousands of patients and families. Beyond his clinical expertise, Dr. Anthony Frisoli was a respected mentor and educator. He tirelessly shared his knowledge and experience with aspiring medical professionals, nurturing the next generation of physicians. His passion for teaching inspired countless students, who now carry his teachings forward as a testament to his enduring influence. Outside of medicine, Dr. Frisoli embraced life with boundless enthusiasm. An avid traveler, he explored the world, immersing himself in different cultures and broadening his horizons. He was a lover of literature, golf, art, and music, finding solace and inspiration in each of their respective beauty. He also treasured spending time with family and friends sharing laughter, love, and unforgettable memories. Dr. Anthony Frisoli leaves behind a void that can never be filled. His indomitable spirit, unwavering dedication, and genuine kindness will forever be remembered by those whose lives he touched. Though he may no longer be with us, his legacy lives on through the lives he saved, the minds he shaped, and the hearts he touched.
He is survived by his loving family, including his children, Christian (Emma), Gregory (Christina), Andrew and Josh (Krista) and one grandchild Josh. Brothers Garry (Ornella) and Sam, brother In law Gary (Suzanne) & Tom, sister in law Carol (Don) and many nephews who he deeply cared for. His family was a source of immense pride and joy in his life. Additionally, he leaves behind his beloved partner, Bettina Maunz. Bettina was a source of immeasurable happiness and comfort in his life, bringing along newfound laughter, experiences and memories to Anthony for many years. Bettina was also an unwavering light, a source of unconditional love, care and support during his illness. He is predeceased by his parents Tiberio and Maria, in-laws Tom and Eileen, sisters in law Marilyn and Rosemary, niece Mary and his beloved wife Denise. Dr. Frisoli's late wife, Denise Frisoli, was a pillar of support and love throughout their journey together. Her memory and the love they shared will forever hold a special place in his heart.
Gathering with the family will be from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, June 26, 2023, at Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home, 225 Mountain Avenue, Bound Brook, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 AM, Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at St. James Roman Catholic Church, 184 South Finley Avenue, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital be made in Dr. Anthony Frisoli's name http://www.stjude.org .
