He is survived by: his brother Thom; his granddaughter Sammie; his wife Carmela Recktenwald; his daughter Christen Karolkiewicz (Michael); his granddaughter Samantha Paige Karolkiewicz; his brother Thomas Recktenwald (Ursula); his nephew Adam Recktenwald (Leighanne); his great-niece Mila; and his nephew Kurt Recktenwald (Anna).
