He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Sr. Fitzgerald and Anna Fitzgerald; his siblings, Thomas Jr., Patricia, Rita Hynes and Maureen Heaney; and his brother-in-law Carmine Rubino.
He is survived by: his wife Antoinette; his children, William Jude (Katharine) of Hoboken, NJ, Meghan Mary Fitzgerald (Dominic Sorce) of Lake Hopatcong, NJ and Caitlin Marie Ferrari (Dan) of Boonton, NJ; his siblings, Elizabeth Piccirillo, James Fitzgerald and Barbara Burrows; and his sister-in-law Felicia Rubino Drasheff (Steve). He is also survived by many cousins, 23 nieces and nephews, numerous grand nieces and nephews and countless friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 24th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the S. J. Priola Parsippany Funeral Service (60 N Beverwyck Rd, Lake Hiawatha, NJ 07034). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, October 25th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church (910 Birch St, Boonton, NJ 07005).
In lieu of flowers, the family would be grateful for memorial gifts to the following: Maureen Heaton Foundation (https://maureenheatonfoundation.org), the Montville Township First Aid Squad or the Boonton Kiwanis Volunteer Ambulance Squad in William's memory.
