He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Bentley and Anna Bentley; and his brother Allan Bentley. He is survived by: his wife Janet Pappas Bentley; his sons, Robert (Mary Clare), Edward (Jill), Michael (Kim) and David (Linda); and his sister Carole Bentley Kettle of Foley, Alabama..
