He was predeceased by: his parents, George E. Kibben and Elda Kibben (Fisk). He is survived by: his wife Janet Kibben (Sawyer); his daughter Laura Hayward Kibben; his grandson Calder Emilio Kibben; his son Matthew Fisk Kibben (Betsy Hepp); his grandson Charles Fisk Kibben; and his brother-inlaw Thomas Sawyer (Jan Marie). He is also survived by three nephews and a niece.
In 2000 he was elected as a member of the National Academy of Construction, Austin, TX, for his contributions to the US construction industry.
