She was predeceased by: her parent Lula Douglas; her husband Jay R. Sims; her son-in-law Reginald Hill, Sr.; and her grandson Mitchell Slaughter, III. She is survived by: her daughters, Regina Hill and Joy Slaughter (Mitch); and her grandchildren, Reginald Hill, Ryne Hill, Jay Slaughter and Nicholas Slaughter.
