Steven J. Fanella Obituary
Fanella, Steven J. age 64 of Stillwater Twp., NJ passed away Wednesday evening July 17, 2019 in the Morristown Medical Center following a long illness. Born in Paterson, NJ Steven grew up and lived in Bloomingdale for many years. He has been a resident of Stillwater Township for many years. A graduate of the Butler High School class of 1972, he was later graduated from the Culinary Institute of Hyde Park, New York.
Mr. Fanella had a long career as Professional Chef, most recently with the Bonnie Brea School in Liberty Corners, NJ. Through his profession he developed a passion for Ice Sculpting. Steven was a parishioner of the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church Newton. He was pre deceased in life by his father Augustino "Sisto" Fanella.
Survivors include his beloved wife Bernadette (nee Sammartino) Fanella, his beloved daughters Patricia and her husband Rob Thorne of Bridgeton, NJ and Theresa N. Fanella of Stillwater. Also surviving are his cherished granddaughter Daphne C. Thorne, his mother Molly (nee Darnell) Fanella of Bloomingdale, NJ, his brothers Michael Fanella of Florida and David Fanella of Bloomingdale, NJ as well as his sister Lynn Lobianco of Butler, NJ.
