He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward DiLaura and Regina DiLaura; his significant other Hazel Shenise; and his brothers, Theodore and Richard.
He is survived by: his children, Edward J. of Bloomingdale and Christy Decker (Steven) of West Milford, NJ; his grandchildren, Lindsay (Steven Decker), Edward J. Jr., Emily and Katie (Kelli DiLaura); and his siblings, Rita Mae Congleton and Donald. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Due to Covid-19, services will be held at a later date by Morrison's Funeral Home in Butler, NJ.
