She was predeceased by: her parents, Gerald Marino and Anna Marino; and her husband James R. Oates. She is survived by: her sister Fay Salvatore; her children, James P. (Monica Oates), Laura A. (James Damato) and Michael R. Oates (Toni Lynn Imperiale); her grandchildren, Anna Polonis (Joseph Polonis), James Damato (Brianna DiTullio), Alex Torres, Lauren LoPresti, Amanda Oates, Grace Oates, Anthony Oates, Giada Oates and Nina Oates; and her family, Order', Iona, Villanova and British.
Cemetery: Gate of Heaven Cemetery East Hanover, NJ (to follow the service), In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, reflecting Rita's compassionate spirit.
