He is survived by: his wife Priscilla Van Houten (Brierley); his daughters, Sararaye Van Houten of Hawthorne and Chelsea Rae Van Houten of West Milford; and his siblings, Peter Van Houten of Denville and Johanna Van Houten-Reilly of Mattapoisett, MA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital are preferred to flowers.
