We are sad to announce that on June 30, 2024, at the age of 69, Nancy Ellen Fiske (Bloomfield, New Jersey) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Nancy Ellen leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Nancy Ellen may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.

She is survived by: her husband Lamont Blowe; her mother Lois Fiske of Fairfield Connecticut; her siblings, Linda Rapp (Gary) of Temple Texas, Jeffrey Fiske, Virginia and Wendy Christian (Dan) of Fairfield, Connecticut; and her sisters-in-law, Vanessa Blowe MD, Paulette Blowe PhD and Melanie Speller. She is also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many relatives.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to First Baptist Church Bloomfield for restoration of their stained-glass windows which held great significance in Nancy and Lamont's wedding.

“Nancy was one of the people who first got me into birdwatching. As a 3rd grader, she introduced me to Plainsboro Preserve’s FeederWatch program and I’ve been obsessed with birds ever since. Her love for nature was infectious, and no matter how late or however many thousands of questions I asked, she would always encourage me to ask more; an always supportive and nurturing figure. 8 years later, I’m planning on pursuing a future in conservation, and her impact is felt by many others like me.”
