He was predeceased by: his parents, Mariano M. Laya Sr. and Concepcion Laya; and his brother Napoleon Laya. He is survived by: his wife Farley Laya; his siblings, Omar, Perlita Fernandez and Marivic Weekes; his nieces and nephews, Jay, Ronnie, Manny, Bong, Donna, Menchu, Malou and Mariscel; his grandchildren, Tiarah, Kyle, Jaden, Casey, Mikko, Klarissa, Cheyenne, Deijah and Gerome; and his sisters-in-law, Josefina, Geo and Marimel.
