She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Nelson and Edwina Nelson. She is survived by: her husband Jim Clayton; her sister Edwina Ekstrom; her niece Maia Wilson (Warren Wilson); her great-niece Keira Wilson; her great-nephews, Chip and Brady Wilson; and also, Bongo and Penelope. She is also survived by two uncles, cousins and friends, including her best friend.
