We are sad to announce that on August 3, 2021, Jack France of Bloomfield, New Jersey, born in Newark, New Jersey passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Peggy. He is survived by: his children, Roddy France (Linda), Cindy Davis (Don) and Jeff France (Lynn); his grandchildren, Stacey Turner (Eric), Joseph Swidrak, Kimberley France (Vinny), Jonathan France (Nicole) and Jamie Lynn France (Marco); his great grandchildren, Brandon and Alyssa Turner; and his pet Piper.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The American Cancer Society in his honor.

“Mr France. He will always be Mr France to me, even at 67. My first and only Scoutmaster of Troop 23 from 1966. Mr France invited Dad & I to have lunch with him a few years ago when we were in town. He was a gracious host. But I could not bring myself to call him “Jack.” We had a great time reminiscing. He sure missed Peggy. As Scoutmaster, he was the publisher of the 23 Times. I was the editor. He’d run copies on his mimeograph machine. I still have them. He will be missed.”
