He was predeceased by: his grandparents, George Joseph, Beatrice Kovacs (Redstone), Stanley and Helen Witkowski (Manka); and his aunts, Anne, Margaret (Corr) and Beatrice Kovacs.

He is survived by: his parents, Jadwiga Hedi M. Witkowski Kovacs and George James Kovacs; his siblings, Jennifer A. Faller (James), Chelsea M. Kovacs (Philip Hartmann) and Christopher Stanley Kovacs; and his aunts, Barbara Cassissa (George), Georgette Kovacs, Theresa Eve Wester (Russell) and Christine Grezlak (Theodore). He is also survived by many cousins and friends.
