We are sad to announce that on July 7, 2021 we had to say goodbye to Eleanor Rose of Bloomfield, New Jersey, born in Cushing, Maine. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred H. Orne and Bertha Orne (Carter); and her siblings, Mary Greenlaw, Ralph Orne, Edith Johnson, Joan Butler, Sidney Orne, Howard Orne and Kenneth Orne.
She is survived by: her son Donald Pomroy (Toshiko) of Uncasville, CT; her significant other James Rose; her sisters, Bernice Bennett of Bangor, Gloria Dearborn of Union and Leona Mixon of Perry, GA; her grandchildren, Dawn Hobbs (Kevin) of Canterbury, CT and Chris Pomroy of Bozrah, CT; her stepchildren, James Rose, Jr. of Fairlawn, NJ, Karen Ritacco of Bloomfield, NJ and Gary Rose of Concord, NC; and her great grandchildren, Andrew Hassell, Ava Hassell of Canterbury, CT, Kevin Pomroy and Ty Pomroy of Bozrah, CT. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family appreciates the care she received, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic.
