Rashida Martyniuk Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Rashida Martyniuk (Blairstown, New Jersey), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 3, 2025 at the age of 42. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As Rashida departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Rashida. Though Rashida may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.

She is survived by: her parents, Maxine Atkins and Otto Atkins; her children, Nova and Kai; her significant other Matthew Martyniuk; and her siblings, Erika Jones, Nicole Jones, Larry Jones, Keniesha Jones and Ganiyo Atkins. She is also survived by numerous extended family members and friends.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Newbaker Funeral Home (200 NJ-94, Blairstown, NJ 07825).

In lieu of flowers, a donation for the children's future education would be appreciated.
