KJ Nolan wrote a sympathy message

“To the O’Malley family. I am so sorry for your loss. I worked for Jim while I was at Temple University Hospital. Aside from learning a lot from Jim about our field, I learned very quickly that he was extremely proud of his entire family. I also learned that we had a lot in common. (having roots in the Navy, that we lived fairly close to each other, to the fact that our wives were both Registered Nurses.) To me Jim was not only a mentor he was a teacher and a friend. Jim was 1 of a kind.”
