He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Harry Datz and Alberta Campbell Scarduzio; his wife Joan E. Datz; his children, Lynn Long (Bill), Susan Datz, Diane Eganey (Ray) and Holly Heffernan (Teddy); and his grandchildren, Jillian DiMeo (Phil), Rhiannon Volpe, Michelle Magpiong, Brandon S. Vidal (Jessica), Dustin W. Vidal (Misty), Katie Heffernan and Lauren Feeney (Ryan).

Facial coverings, social distancing, and building occupancy restrictions will be enforced.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to St, Jude's Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept 142, Memphis, TN 38101.
