He was predeceased by: his father James Joseph McGowan; and his brother Kevin. He is survived by: his mother Eileen McGowan (Murphy); his sisters, Eileen Haydon (Tom) of Dayton, N. J. and Claire Heron (Edward) of Beverly, N. J; and his children, James and Eilleen. He is also survived by his niece and four nephews, and his cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that people perform an act of kindness in James' memory.
