He is survived by: his wife Phrizell; his son Reverend Harvey Gibson, Jr. (Angela); his stepchildren, Orlando Wright, Sharon Wright, Cynthia McQueen (Willie), Angela Wright (Mark Dunn), Kevin Wright (Sylvia), Sarita Wilson and Tracey Wright; his sister Esther Ward; and his sister-in-law Madeleine Gibson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
