He was predeceased by: his parents, David and Mary; and his brother Gene Coffey (Mary Lou). He is survived by: his wife Jackie; his children, John Coffey, Jesse Coffey (Jillian), Kelly O'Brien (Jim) and Cheryl Deets (Mike); his brother Phil Coffey (Susan); and his grandchildren, Erin O'Brien, Tanner O'Brien, Dylan Deets and Jayden Deets. He is also survived by his wife, children, grandchildren and friends.
