He was predeceased by: his son Wayne Colyer; his parents, Walter Colyer and Mary Colyer; and his siblings, William, Austin and Joan McKevlin.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Hansen; his daughters, Karen Colyer and Jennifer Colyer (Shemmy Mishaan); and his grandchildren, Michael McCann, Matthew McCann and Hansen Colyer. He is also survived by four great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, mourners may make donations to United Way of Monmouth and Ocean Counties.
