With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Peter Garvey (Berkeley Township, New Jersey), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 9, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard P. and Marion E.; his brother Timothy; and his brother-in-law Hank Savino. He is survived by: his wife Francine; his children, James T. (John Alvarez) and Victoria R. Garvey (Matthew Kodner); his granddaughter Lenore Marie; his sisters, Ellen Savino, Bernice Koch (Timothy), Elizabeth Sorrentino (Philip), Marion Ruff (James) and Margaret Kowalchuk (John); his sisters-in-law, Karin Garvey, Rose Flora and Dorothy Flora Cartier (Christopher); and his friends, Steve and Kevin. He is also survived by 13 nieces and nephews, and 7 grand nieces and nephews.

“Peter was a dear friend for most of my life! A regular companion during childhood and a trusted confidant and close friend later on. I know of no one as conversant in any chosen subject or as friendly, welcoming, comforting and sincere as Peter! He and Franny were honored guests at all Quinn family events and celebrations and we will miss him terribly! Our prayers go out to Fran, James, Vicky and all the Garvey Clan! We love you all!”
