She is survived by: her children, James Thompson, Michael Thompson and Julia Toussaint; her sisters, Florence, June and Susan; her grandchildren, Christopher, Kimberly, Briana, James Jr., Dorothy and Cord; her great grandchildren, Erika, Kayla and Lona; and her niece Karen Mandell.
